Research Coordination

Internal Research Coordination

The CIQC pursues an array of activities to coordinate research across the CIQC.  With these activities, we ensure that the CIQC functions as powerful collaborative enterprise, productively linking expertise from across disciplines and institutions, bringing added value to our institute-scale effort as we address critical research challenges, enhance educational opportunities, and enrich public understanding of quantum information science.

CIQC Annual Retreat

The CIQC Annual Retreat is a cornerstone event designed to strengthen collaboration and foster intellectual exchange within the quantum information science community.

Research Core Coordination

The CIQC research team comprises five Research Cores that represent close scientific kinship groups within which we expect the tightest collaborations. Each core activity has crafted and maintains its own research coordination strategy.

Research Exchanges

The CIQC Graduate Student/Postdoc Exchange Program encourages cross-campus collaboration among early-career researchers at different CIQC sites by providing financial support for short visits to other research groups.

Seed Funding

The CIQC Seed Funding program empowers CIQC members to pursue opportunities that arise in research, education, workforce development, outreach, coordination, tech transfer and industry partnerships.  The program emphasizes support for collaboration, multidisciplinary investigation, and leadership by students, postdocs, and junior faculty members.
