CIQC Partnerships
The aims of the CIQC partnership with the Simons Institute are to establish a leading academic center to advance quantum information theory, and to establish a national/international center for the theoretical quantum CS community.
The CIQC has partnered with IPAM to advance research at the overlap of mathematical sciences and quantum information science and to promote the expansion of quantum information science coursework, faculty appointments, and research with mathematics departments and the mathematics community.
The CIQC has begun a collaboration with the Computer History Museum with the aim of chronicling and educating the public about the development of quantum information science.
The CIQC is partnering with the Oral History Center, located within UC Berkeley’s Bancroft Library. Together, we aim to capture oral histories from key figures in today’s revolutionary development of quantum information science.
The CIQC is partnering with the California State University, the largest four-year university system in the United States, to develop QIS course offerings and a system-wide QIS undergraduate degree program, providing pathways for students to enter the quantum workforce.
The aim of our partnership with Stanford Q-FARM is to enhance research coordination internally and externally and allow CIQC to have greater impact on the Stanford campus. The core of this collaboration is a series of CIQC/Q-FARM joint workshops on topics of CIQC research interest.
The aim of our partnership with CIQC/IQIM is to coordinate research across California and allow CIQC to have greater impact on the Caltech campus. IQIM members now have “affiliate” status within CIQC and are invited to join CIQC activities and research exchanges.
