Travel & Booking Procedures

The event will take place on the UC Berkeley campus. We will begin the day in Sutardja Dai Hall. Researchers are responsible for traveling their own expenses, all of which are allowable from your CIQC budget (check with your PI).

Transportation

  • Air travel:  Travelers to the Bay Area can fly into either Oakland or San Francisco. The Oakland International Airport is closer to the UC Berkeley campus. For shuttles, Bayporter – (510) 864-4000 or Bridge Airporter Express – (800) 300-1661.  An Uber/Lyft from OAK ~ $35 and ~$60 from SFO.

  • Commuters: There is limited public parking available in nearby garages. You can use the Pay By Phone option. For more detailed information, please visit UC Berkeley’s visitor parking page.
    Public Transit provides convenient campus access. If choosing BART, exit at the Downtown Berkeley station and walk to campus. If taking the bus, please visit AC Transit to plan your trip.

    Room Blocks will be held until Friday, June 7, at which time you can book a room at the same rates, with no guarantee that these rooms are available.
